If you're admitted to a Private or Public hospital we'll pay to the "Gazetted Rate" determined by the State and Territory Health Authorities for your hospital stay.
Doctors' and specialists will be paid at the Medicare Benefits Schedule (MBS) level. You could have some out of pocket expenses when visiting one of these Hospitals.
We will pay the ‘Gazetted Rate’ for hospital accommodation and the MBS rate for treatment whilst admitted to hospital. We will also pay 100% of cost for Psychiatric consultations that are received outside of a hospital admission up to $2,000 per policy, per membership year.
Covered 100% for hospital accommodation and at the MBS rate for medical services that are pregnancy and birth related.
